The focus is on healthy, balanced and elaborate meals from the four groups in Canada's Food Guide. Our menu cycle is four weeks. We have a summer menu and a winter menu. All our preparations are made "home" with standardized recipes. It is important for us to offer fresh, seasonal foods, prepared here to the taste of children. The cook has been trained in Food Hygiene and Food Safety by MAPAQ.

Food allergies: Recognized cases of allergies (with doctor's paper) and dietary exceptions for religious reasons are followed carefully.

Role of the educators: The educators encourage the child to taste new foods. They eat with children and show them good hygienic habits. Educators discuss with children the importance of eating well. Seeing educators eating certain foods encourages children to taste (especially the vegetables).

The educators introduce several activities to the children, including cooking activities, cutting food and tasting, grouping, which show them different food groups. For example, classify foods into groups, fruit with fruit, vegetables with vegetables, etc. For more information on the CPE menu, you can consult our educational program.
